Mira Road, for somebody who has never been

Mira Road is past Dahisar on the Western line, and in twenty years it has gone from open land to a town with its own centre. People book here because they live here, not because they are visiting.

The practical thing to know is the drive. From the island it is well over an hour, and the check naka at Dahisar is where the time goes.

From Borivali or Bhayandar, though, it is nothing, and that is where most of these bookings come from.
